Rental applicant FAQ
Important information about applications, screening, fees, and payments.
Does paying an application fee reserve the property?
No. The fee covers the disclosed application-processing and screening service. Payment does not guarantee approval or reserve a property.
What information is required?
The application requests contact information, current residence, income and employment, occupants, pets, rental history, references, consent, and optional supporting documents.
Do you collect Social Security numbers?
This site does not request Social Security numbers in the general application form. A separate authorized screening provider may request identity information through its own secure process.
How are applications evaluated?
Each listing publishes qualification criteria before application. Decisions are made consistently under those criteria and applicable fair-housing and consumer-reporting laws.
How can I pay?
Application fees can be paid through PayPal or Square checkout. The site does not directly store card numbers.
Can an application fee be refunded?
Refund eligibility depends on the property disclosure, whether processing began, payment-provider rules, and applicable state law. Review the fee disclosure before paying.
How do I check my status?
Use the application ID displayed after submission together with the email used in the application.
When is a lease created?
A lease exists only after an authorized lease agreement is offered, signed by all required parties, and any required funds are accepted under its terms.
